Members of the Murray River Quilters have donated some beautiful quilts to Living Care Borella House!
The group make the quilts throughout the year and then twice a year they donate them to various community groups and care services in the Albury/Wodonga area. Borella House was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the care services this year!
The quilt winners – (L-R) Irene, Beryl, Barbara, Betty, and Kevin
Suzanne Block from Murray River Quilters noted that the group hope to donate enough quilts for every person who lives at Borella House.
A draw for the quilts was held at the Resident’s Meeting in August. There were many comments about how beautiful the quilts are and the people who won them were very happy and appreciative.
Betty stated that she couldn’t believe she was so lucky and that she felt very special.
Kevin said it was ‘absolutely wonderful’ and that he was in ‘awe’ as to how he won it.
Beryl said she ‘loves the colours’ of her quilt and ‘couldn’t believe she was so lucky’.
Thank you Murry River Quilters!
