What is Magnolia Cottage?

Magnolia Cottage is funded by Home and Community Care (HACC) and provides centre-based respite (a break) for people with memory loss and their Carers.

We Aim to Provide:

• A high level of care and supervision for clients complemented by activity programs for men and women;
• A relaxed, secure homelike environment;
• Small group programs that promote social interaction and mental stimulation;
• Exercise programs that incorporate movement, music and fun.

Who can Attend?

If you or someone you know has memory loss, is living in the community and is not in Residential Aged Care, then Magnolia Cottage may be the answer.

Magnolia Cottage Services Include:

• Transport for the Client to and from the Centre;
• Activity programs throughout the day, tailored to meet the needs of the Client;
• Morning tea, a hot lunch and afternoon tea;
• Outings and entertainment;
• Supervision with medication;
• Assistance with some personal care tasks;
• Pastoral Care;
• Information and referral to support services;
• Carer support;
• Education about Dementia and memory loss.
